One prospect that South Carolina has lost ground with is Marquez Grayson (Lexington, N.C.). Grayson had a great relationship with Jay Graham and it hurt the Gamecocks when he left for Tennessee with Grayson. Grayson has family in South Carolina and once favored both South Carolina and Clemson.

The Gamecocks are still in the 6-foot-1, 200-pounder’s top five but it will be hard to beat Tennessee for Grayson.

Per 247 article, Grayson has a very close relationship w/ Coach Graham. He wants to visit Tennessee again this summer or spring. He claims offers from Tennessee, UVA, VT, USCjr, ECU, Clemson, UNC, Duke, & N.C. State.
