Are you in agreement that USC can only sign 14 if nobody leaves? | You are correct in that case, yes. My numbers are jumbled.
However, where you are mistaken is that USC is limited to only signing 14 players. USC can always sign 15 players, every year. I'm pretty sure that the roster cap of 75 doesn't go into effect until the fall. So... attrition in the spring and summer can make room for the new recruits.
USC will sign 18 next year. The numbers will work themselves out. |

If they lose more than 15 players through attrition, graduation, then they have to make up the difference in walk-ons | We CAN backcount this year. We had three left over from the previous class, therefore we can sign 15 this year and 3 EEs that backcount to last year. |

That would give us the 15 for this year plus 4 from last year for a total of 19. And at least 4 would have to be EEs.
We're on pace for way more than 4 EEs though. edit: actually, not completely correct.
It's my understanding that USC can sign 18 (or maybe 19) for this class REGARDLESS of where it puts us with the limit of 75. USC would simply have to make sure that they are in compliance with the limit of 75 when fall rolls around. |

At 6-foot-2, 240-pounds, Louisville (Ky.) Trinity four-star defensive end Jason Hatcher opened The Opening as a top 10 finalist for the SPARQ Championship. Hatcher ran a 4.8 40-yard dash in prelims, followed by a 4.68 later than night in the championship. Maybe his most impressive mark was a 4.06 shuttle time in qualifying with a 34.4 inch vertical leap. Hatcher had the fifth faster shuttle time of any player at the event regardless of position.
In one-on-one drills, Hatcher had mixed results. While he had some good reps speed rushing off the edge, he had no counter moves. Once an offensive tackle had grasp of him, he failed to disengage from the block. Hatcher is agile and quick, which in a greater team concept would be more dangerous. Attribute wise, Hatcher does compare favorably with graduated USC defensive end Nick Perry. Hatcher isn't quite a big, but he is also more polished fundamentally.

| Sounds eerily like Jacques Smith in triangle numbers and skills.

Im fairly certain Jalen pretty much talked Jason into visiting there in the first place. In our favor, this is one time USC cant offer what Tennessee can.
