Really. Some lucky team could possibly get a starting secondary in one year.

IMO the thing with Vic and Tennessee is he has only worked out as a DB for the staff in person. At this point, lets be honest, he is down UT's board as a DB. Idk how many they sign next year but I'm guessing the board is similar to:

Quin Blanding
Jalen Tabor
Todd Kelly Jr
Nicholas Ruffin
Evan/Elliot Berry
Marlon Humphrey
Rashaan Gaulden
Deion Singleton
Kendall Randolph
Daejuan Funderburk

Obviously the board will change but I think all those guys are ahead of VW right now (strictly as a DB). Although, VW could really impress on either side of the ball and shoot up to the top.

We can afford to be very selective with DBs next year.

That is hard to believe when you look at some of the guys they have rated as 3* in this current class.

Referring to other TN kids or nationally? He's a legit high 3/low 4 to me.

Just TN Kids. Nobody will ever convince me that he is a better college prospect than a guy like Jason Carr (247 thinks so).

Looking at all the threes and the only two I see better are Sanders and Carr. Not sure what they're thinking there having them as 3s.

I would love to hear an explanation of why he is rated so low. I really don't understand it.

I'd guess they are evaluating him as a 4-3 DT. He's a little small for that. If they looked at him as a 3-4 DE he would be rated higher.

Friends? This kid was like 10 when Smith left for South Bend. Maybe he's like their little brother or something. The age diff between him and those guys is the same as EB/ Evan-Elliot.
