| “It's perfect,” the 2014 safety prospect from Washington (D.C.) Friendship said of Tennessee's campus after visiting for a camp Tuesday. “It's perfect for what I would like to do.”
Tabor said he thinks he'll end up at an SEC school when he eventually makes his decision. He visited Auburn, Florida and Alabama this summer. For now, he's done with trips and wants to think about his junior year. -ESPN |

| He was at camp last week on the 2nd day. Kid has long arms and uses them well at the line of scrimmage, had a decent showing during 1 on 1s. |

| Will be visiting for the Bama game. Says he communicates with Tennessee the most on a weekly basis. He claims to have a great relationship with Ansley and Sal. He thinks he can be one of the missing pieces to UT's defense, a true tall cover corner. Says he wants to see if UT is going to come out fighting or lay down for Alabama.
Says he is going to weight until NSD 2014, so he can weigh all of his options.

- 247 | He is right. Biggest need on the defense IMO. |

| And linebackers who can read run/pass and cover guys out of the backfield and get there hands on the tightends and re-route them. We get KILLED by bad linebacker play every week. |

CB play is the missing link right now. Hopefully Coleman, Bonner, Gray + Sutton, Bell (please) could transition us nicely to '14 where we could get some big talents like Tabor on campus. |

I just wish the defense can put together a whole game like they played in the 3rd quarter vs MSU |

- 247 | Fight or lay down.
I think all we are asking of the team for this game is to fight like men on fire |

Hopefully Coleman, Bonner, Gray + Sutton, Bell (please) could transition us nicely to '14 where we could get some big talents like Tabor on campus. | If you have the game on dvr, go back and watch it. You will see we take too long to get back into coverage. It is killing us. 34 & 45 cannot cover. Miss State's tightend is not fast nor explosive. We just let him off the line freely and he killed us. In pass coverage, linebackers and nickelbacks must re-route the seam (get your hands on him and not give a "free release") and then play the curl route behind it. If you don't, you will watch completions all day. A great indicator is the offensive guard. If his head comes up, he is pass blocking. If it stays down, the offense is running. If the guard pulls, you have to beat him accross his face or the running play will be successful. Linebacker play is killing us. We are not great at corner by any means. I get that. But we SUCK at lb for sure. |

When they FINALLY read pass, the backs and tightends are downfield. The last score by MSU was a perfect example. Tight end was at the back of the endzone. Where was Lathers? Trailing behind as usual. If we get ahead, like against NCSU, we can play defense better. If a team has the threat of both run and pass, we are not eqipped to play a good defensive game against them. To stop a balanced offense, linebacker play is imperative, against run and pass. Quick accurate reads are important to every position, not just qb. |
