Also if I remember correctly Morris didn't commit 'til like August/September and you guys had virtually struck out with everyone else by then.

Morris may in fact turn out to be a good player but I don't see it.

Actually when Morris came to camp last June the staff really liked him and was very impressed but at the time they were still in it for both Winston and Gunner. To be honest I think the staff blew it on Gunner in the beginning by going so strong after both at the same time. And both kept postponing their announcement to see where the other was going first. By early July every UA fan knew Winston was headed to FSU because of the MLB money he could not get at UA and his dad made that clear but by then Gunner seemed to lose interest in UA and commited July 27th to IU. Which now I am thankful but at the time was concerned. Aug 3rd JW commited to FSU as expected. Morris who commited to WF July 22 switched that commitment to UA on Aug 5th. So basically Morris looked to be an option all along but the staff was waiting on one of the other 2 to commit and may have been a little to sure at that point and almost lost Morris.

So just happy we got Morris at this point and he may not be as good as JW or GK but he does have alot of upside. Just need AJ to stay healthy the next 2 years.

The concern for Mitch as most of the other targets we are after at this moment is he needs to come to camp to have a firm offer. Saban still wants him to throw at camp. Also rumors out there that Connor wants to be the only QB in the class and why USC is the team to beat. Spurrier has made him a priority.

Our June camp I know we will see other QB targets we are after. So far Cooper Bateman, Max Staver, Ryan Buchanan, Mitch Trubisky, Riley Furguson and possibly Connor Mitch now as well. CM mentioned he would be down on the 3rd or 8th of June.

My best guess is we land 2 of that group if all pans out. With Sims gone it will help even more in getting 3 in this class. Another name we are still after is UGA commit B Ramsey and it appears we make get a visit now but so far he is still solid to UGA.

Some connected with USC say that they would take two if Olsen also came. I am not saying that is correct, but that has been what was said. It doesn't really matter, though. Miami probably will get Olsen.

My bet is Mitch to USC unless all this GF stuff to UNC can really change his mind. But if he commits anytime soon I say USC.
