From all indications Otha is a great person. Petrino sold some snake oil and Otha bit. Plain and simple. Otha will be successful whereever he goes. Hopefully, he comes on back to UT before he signs. Best case scenario is he doesn't sign at all today.

At least our coaches gave them a month to get their affairs in order, unlike Peter making a PUBLIC announcement on the 30th that he was gonna be a Vol. I see the concept you’re getting at Lebanon, but it is a little different.

MZTERRY....thank you for all that you have done for the VOL nation. You are a true VFL! I am glad Jason chose to be a VFL as well.

No, I wouldn't. I'm not an idiot. Otha is ELITE. If you have any integrity, you don't lie to a coaching staff at the last possible second. You don't act like everything is fine when it isn't. If you are worth a sh*t, you're upfront about it. If he had done it the way Santos did, I'd be fine. The fact that he lied to us is not okay. Kids are stupid as hell.

Yeah, telling a kid months before signing day that they'll still except their commitment but that they probably won't get much playing time is the same as Otha lying about where he's signing and doing so at the last minute.

Tennessee did talk to him last night and to his mom. They made a final push for him, but it's our understanding that Peters has contacted Tennessee this morning and told them he was going to remain a Razorback and is signing with them.

Weird. Whatever. Move on. If he doesn't want to be a Vol, we certainly don't need him. We have room in our family for great young men .... but only if they want to be here.

The previous year Arkansas was 2 late Ryan Mallett INTs from beating Bama as Arkansas came up short 21-24.
Couple that with the fact that Arkansas has as good or better facilities and Northwest Arkansas scenery is a lot like Eastern Tennessee.
Arkansas is In better shape than Tennessee currently.
Dooley is on the hotseat. Petrino is not. Petrino has an 18 million dollar buyout. He's not going anywhere.
No. Laughing at the idea that Arkansas is closer to a championship than UT. Petrino is deeper into his rebuilding program but still is not very close to beating Auburn, LSU, and Bama... and now A&M in the same year. That is as much if not more of a statement on the strength of the two divisions right now as the state of the two programs.

UT is just as close if not closer to finishing ahead of UGA, USCe, and UF as Arkansas is to finishing ahead of Auburn, Bama, and LSU.

You have to get to the game to win it.

man, it doesn't make any rational sense, but it seems like there is always that one person that makes the class just barely incomplete. Michael Taylor, the DT that ended up signing with LSU I think?!?!, and now Otha.

"Per his school, Otha Peters has officially signed with #Arkansas. Flipped from #Vols yesterday [via Twitter]"
