I think Chaney will be play calling like a maniac this season. Keep in mind... much of last season was Simms/young worley throwing to Darick, arnett, no third WR, no run game.

Replace that with more polished bray, hunter, CP. Improved run game. Dynamic running backs. Makes a huge difference.

I think Croom's money is at the next level is at TE. Too big and strong to be anything else. Don't know how good a blocker he is. But with that frame he could be a monster at TE. TG esque.

Hey all you e-coaches,
See the title of this thread: it is WR Jason Croom!

Let the UT coaches and Jay Croom determine what position he plays.

I am more concerned with his hamstring injury. Any news?

He will remain a WR unless he is unable to keep his weight under control. He is an outstanding WR and we will need him in 13 and 14.

Coaches have already been talking about croon impressing them at WR and I remember mzterry saying he wouldn't like to be moved there so I doubt he does.

But seriously if he could add 20-25 pounds and keep his speed at 6'6..geez talk about an NFL tight end..would be sick.
Next Jason Witten? I know, I know, too soon for that.

Forgot about Gates. That's what I get for posting while drunk at an airport.

Rhetorical u think?

Not at all, imo. I believe he's just stating that, in the past, the UT coaches told him he would be playing WR and will honor their word. Now there is a huge need at TE, and he's asking if you know if your son would be, at the very least, open to the idea of playing TE. Things change constantly in this world, and it's certainly a fair question. You obviously don't have to answer it, but I wouldn't agree that it's a rhetorical question.

Edit: Chaney should have a hay day calling plays this year.
That is why we will see mostly zone defenses with a lot of nickel and dime packages this year.
