| For all of the negative response to today's results... people calling today a dud, and "so much for the UT Dream Team", etc. I offer this, and bash me if you like. 1. Took a very positive step towards shoring up the future top in-state talent by signing Clear & Tiny. 2. Signed some very talented guys in areas of need. 3. Like it or not, UT is not back on the map yet, therefor not going to beat out Auburn for GW, with a NC in their backpocket, or FSU for TJ when he has been a heavy lean to those guys all along. This staff still hasnt shown they are of the elite. We lost all of our top rivalry games. Our best DT coming into the season didnt even end up playing hardly the second half of the season. Coaching?? Could be. We do however have some very young talent that could bring us back with adequate coaching. So maybe give the staff this year to have a successful season on the field-with their first full class-and then see where they can end up in the recruiting rankings...for 2011. Just a thought. Bash away |

| i agree w OP. however you are bringing sound, logical thinking to this. that would rule out the possibility of crashing servers so 6000+ people can post the "damn", "sucks", i"i knew it" type posts |

| Today was kind of anti-climatic, but that's because we pulled 3 really good guys in the 2 days before NSD.

| Not only what you said but many posters here were positive some of our recruits read VN. If that's the case, do you think they've stopped just because they sent their LOI? It'd piss me off if I had just committed here, then get on VN and read some of this garbage about how bad this class is. It's uncalled for. This is a good class and many of our issues have been addressed. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| You actually have people on here complaining about your class?
Amazing. it's a top 10 class and you have people complaining. |

| It is a great recruiting class, better than most expected and will go a long way to fixing some of our problems. I'm happy with everyone that became a Vol today and am looking forward to seeing them on the field in the years to come. Go Vols! |

| People wanted Dooley to take it all the way to the house and he was brought down inside the ten. It would have been nice to have closed strong and had a Top 10 class, but... not this year. I'm hoping we can hang in the Top 15. |

| If we start winning in 2011 and manage to keep our coaching staff in tact, we will start to roll. This class only has 14 seniors in it, so next season's recruiting class will be smaller. Of course, we could have 15, if J. Jackson declares for the NFL after his junior season.
I would expect for 90% of next years class to be defensive players. Maybe one r.b. to replace Poole and a serviceable q.b. to replace Simms for depth.
We will be in a good position. Then when other SEC teams stumble, we will be there to take advantage of it. This is what we did in the 90's. Florida has Zook and we took advantage of it. Bama had Shula, DuBose & Freddie Kitchens & we took advantage of it.
LSU had DeNardo and we took advantage of it. |

But I would like to say that it's nice to see some Gator fans with perspective. My neighbor is starting to get it too. You can't stay on top forever. All you can ask for is solid improvement. |

| this effort by this coaching staff was outstanding. the class they signed was extremely good class for a staff after one year being together. Far exceeded my expectations.
I felt if they could sign a class 20-25 range would be great. to get in the top 10-15 is outstanding. To get in on the kids they did (Wright, Dawson, Jernigan, etc) was unbelievable.
If this staff can maintain and improve on this, great things in the future. Caveat, IF TENNESSEE FANS WILL BE PATIENT.

| It's a good class, but I do feel like I was sucker punched today. I bought into the hype and momentum. Adding Moore was huge. If Moore, Clear, and maggitt would have committed today instead of earlier this week, today wouldn't have lost as much of it's luster I suppose. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| This class is loaded with studs. Worley a 3 star. Laughable. Outside of Alabama and Auburn, I wouldn't trade.
