And don't forget about Jay Rome at No. 3, but they don't even list UT as an option.

However, they list UT has an option for Crowell and Drew.
Crowell, Drew, and Rome are basically Georgia locks.

Da'Rick was also a GA lock at this time last year... I'd keep an eye open for Jay Rome.

UT is having some good success in GA but I wouldn't say picking through and having a field day.

I agree with you. But considering it isn't a state school, Tennessee has done well.

I agree. No doubt UT has had some good recruits from the state this year.

Rogers and Rome are a completely different story.

Considering that--in addition to not being the state school--we had a 6-7 record this year (whereas multiple other schools from bordering states trying to poach talent were in the top 15), 6 of the top 50 with potential for 2 more is pretty good.

Absolutely. And by getting these top recruits out of GA, Tennessee is building a foundation for future success in the state.

I admit, I was a little surprised he didn't rank higher on that Fab 50 list.

I'm willing to bet he would have been quite a bit higher ranked if he was committed to UGA or still considering them. Personally I would have had him around 7th or 8th. Not a Georgia high school football expert, but I've seen film on most all of the list and would rank him 7th or 8th.

AJC homerism may be the only explanation.
