The NFL could use their help. They spent hundreds and possibly thousands of man hours to rate Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell and missed terribly on both. Am I the only one who thinks the NFL can rate or rank players far better than Rivals or Scout? The remarkable thing is the NFL still misses on many players, even after seeing them compete for 3 or 4 years. But not Rivals...they know when the kids is barely through their junior year in high school they are going to be a superstar.

Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks these player ratings or rankings is a joke...

I don't think it's an error of scouting staffs. I think it's the arrogance of coaches and blissful ignorance of some GMs/Owners.

They (coaches) think they can take a guy with an enormous arm but little work ethic and turn him into an NFL MVP.
