| | Senior Member | I would love to see these two in orange. Still alot of time before they have to make a decision. Hopefully our product on the field this year will make them want to come be a part of it. |

| This was in the TK Jr. thread , but I decided to put it in the right thread. Quote:

Not saying they are coming here for sure , but this way they don't look like they are. Kiffin even talked about recruiting Eric. It was something like , "Yeah , we recruited Eric at SC and we knew he was basically a lock to Tennessee. But you take chances on players like that win or lose." Maybe they want to see some other places and get more attention than Eric did. Not saying Eric didn't want attention , but to me he looked at this as a business decision and knew what he wanted to do. Eric also wasn't in the coaches office star struck. Ask Mark Richt. Richt's "cheat notes" and not even knowing what position he played was something that didn't go without notice from Eric. The span between James and Eric was alot longer than it is with the twins. Every coach is going to know about them and they need to thank Eric for that.
I know they like Trooper and are friends with his son. I just think when it's all said and done , when they make that choice , it will have to be more than that. No way do they decide just because of Trooper Taylor. Could you imagine Eric as gifted and smart as he was/is saying he chose a school because of Taylor? That doesn't mean other players don't pick a school for a coach , but with James and Eric being blood , I think they will really look at the big picture. These kids aren't going to do something stupid and base a decision because a Chic-fil-a is on campus -lol. I know that story was overblown , but still I expect more from them. And as for what we expect ... That brings us to the shadow of their Brother and Father. This isn't the first time I've said it and it won't be the last. Going to another college will not get them out of that shadow. It will follow them no matter where they go. So don't give me that excuse. In this day we live in , everyone will know who they are. Especially in the SEC.
Bottom line ... The love for Trooper is not going to be the deciding factor. I don't know why some can't see them wanting to follow their Father and Brother and be part of this family. You know , the real one. Not some "all in family" bs being sold at the Barn. No , we don't know yet and won't for awhile. But in my opinion , it isn't looking as bad as some think. James might say he is going to let them decide , but when the time comes he will be talking up Tennessee. And don't question how much EB loves this place. Yes , I know EB had some tweets in the past about Tennessee. At least that was what we were thinking it was about. He also had some for a former Vol and one Trooper Taylor during recruiting season a year ago. So take that stuff with a grain of salt. Tennessee is still number 1. No matter what the man made weather is saying about Auburn or the people saying that Eric hates Dooley. It's Tennessee and then everybody else. I read stuff like ..."Auburn has gained ground ect. ect. ect." I never read a quote from the twins saying they lead for anything. Even if it's printed that way , I like our chances more than any other program.

Now another Vol legacy is maybe better at the same age(Todd Kelly Jr.). 2014 will be good year especially if we win big this year. |

Many of your boosters and ex-head coaches that have been guilty before are still involved with the program. It's just a matter of time before they'll be caught again.
The Berry twins won't end up on the Plains. You can take that to the bank...oops, wrong word choice to say to a Barner. Too soon?

@Andrew_Gribble: Just got our first Derek Dooley appearance at Pro Day. Walks across the field and promptly shakes hands with Eric Berry. |
