| I think with Dobbs there are questions about his interest in a baseball career. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. |

| He may want to try to play both in college, but this kid is too good not to evaluate. |

This kid may not be SEC quality, but he's going to get a free education somewhere. |

If so, keep in mind the stat thing is a two way street. For instance, neither Drae Bowles or Cody Blanc had great stats last year, IMO, because their respective teams were weak. But the coaches were impressed, and they have since looked worthy since they have been on campus. Same for Smith, IMO, though he has a strong team and will put up good stats. But he also has great measuarables.
Thing is with High, measuarbles are different for QB's and there aren't as many roster positions as other positions such as WR, CB, etc, etc. As I said before, I will defer to the professionals on their evaluations, then we can decide 2-3 years later how they did. |

Justin King had mediocre stats as a senior but may be our most impressive freshman. |

High and Smith's numbers will be inflated by the system they play. Doesn't mean they are or are not SEC talent. That comes down to individual measurables and the system to which an individual team runs. Another sidenote to that defensively: Recuiting agencies tend to rate players based on the 4-3 defense, but undervalue a player who is better suited for the 3-4. I hope in the near future we will see that in LaTroy Lewis, who I believe will be a stud. Same for Jordan Williams. |

I'm not an expert by any means, but I know a player when I see one. I remember watching Jacquez in high school and knowing that kid was special as a freshman. Same with Devrin. I don't see it in Smith or High but then again I'm no expert. |
