I follow High School football closely in North Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee. Last week I spoke with several players from Huntsville and Murphreesboro. I was asking them about colleges they were hoping to get a chance at playng for and all of them, not two or three, but all of them (about 19 in all) said they would never play for CPF! The most common response was "I don't trust him". Now these were not blue chippers by any means but I was very suprised to hear pretty much the same response from all of them!

Is anyone else hearing anything like this from any big recruits?

Has CPF damaged his name that bad?

just curious.

First of all, are you a Vol fan? You don't have to say but I'm curious all the same.

Second of all, there was plenty of talent that trusted him this past recruiting season, wouldn't you agree?

Third, if those guys don't want to really play ball for Tennessee, then we don't want them anyway. If that did in fact happen.

There is one thing I don't worry about and that is Fulmer's ability to recruit.

I guarantee you that if Fulmer offered these guys then they would come here at the drop of a hat. As you said they are not blue chippers and are not on Fulmer's radar so they can pretty much say anything they want and know that the outcome will be the same.

Tell the hs players you talked to good luck in division 2 because according to the major recruiting gurus there is little to no division 1 talent in either of those locations. Maybe that's the problem, UT isn't showing any interest in any of them.

I've never heard of Murphreesboro anyway. Is it an imaginary place? I'm not too worried that imaginary players don't trust CPF.

This post has no merit. If no one trusted PF then how the hell do we have a recruiting class? I guess Manning was duped along with the other 41 Vols in the NFL.

Fulmer is probably the most trusted coach in the SEC by recruits.

Here I go feeding Trolls again.

Hey where's the Admins at. Aren't they suppose to guard against Trolls

Who cares what a bunch of Troy, UAB, and Jacksonville State recruits think?

You are right about players not trusting CPF, but we get SO MANY that we can afford that luxury of guys to go elsewhere, and we still get a top 10 recruiting class. We lost guys like Onterrio Smith and Montrell Jones and Cadillac Williams, yet we are always contending for the SEC title every year.

Then again, players talk crap like they can be so selective and picky to which school they go to, but c'mon, how many players would ACTUALLY pass up the chance to play their home games at Neyland Stadium?? Also, think about the high number of players that UT puts into the NFL...

Ultimately 95% of college players want to have to best chance to go to the NFL, and they know UT has the type of program to get them there... If they're good. It's just like a diploma from Yale vs. Carson Newman. Do the math.

Again, this is one of the most ridiculous posts I have ever read.

"What schools are you considering?" Um UAB, Ga.Southern, and Western KY"

What do you think about Phillip Fulmer? He is a crook. In other words, I couldn't play at UT if my life depended on it.

i'm making a "general" comment!!! Use some common sense. I bet you are the type of fan that thinks the offensive problems have been a result of Randy Sanders all by himself too...

What do you know about football??? Probably not a damn thing.
