I think the only fair comparison would be to compare Dooley and Kiffin at this same time in the year. For example, do you feel better about Dooley now, than you did about Kiffin at this time a year ago?

No, honestly.

But I will wait until after a year before really cementing my opinion.

I knew with Kiffin that if he didn't succeed then he would be gone within a few years, and if he did he would be gone when the SC job opened (except I thought that would be ten years down the road). With Dooley I know he also will be gone in a few years if he doesn't succeed, but I'm not worried about him bolting to another school if he has success. So in a way I feel more secure with CDD.

This time one year ago we were in the midst of getting commitments from David Oku and Bryce Brown and the town was buzzing about football, one year later Dooley has done nothing at all to generate any buzz about football. In fact it’s almost as if he’s trying to make fans forget about him.

Kiffin inflated expectations with his recruiting. He's a great offseason coach but has yet to prove anything on the field. With that said neither has Dooley. I think kiffin was good at getting fans excited about recruiting and the places the program COULD go. It seems Dooley is keeping things close to the vest and sticking to business. Nothing matters until we're on the field..

Two big differences:
1. I figured that when Kiffin left or was fired (3-6 years is what I gave him) we would be stacked with talent, which we would have been. With Dooley I don’t feel that way.
2. I was worried Kiffin would go to USC, the NFL, or another big time school, with Dooley I don’t think fans need to worry about him leaving until the day Hammy forces him to.

In some ways yes -- He probably won't get the program into ncaa trouble for recruiting violations. In some ways not enough time yet -- know more after spring camp, and especially once the regular season gets under way.

I feel better that the NCAA investigators did not setup an office near campus. They moved out after The Weasel left town and followed him.

Not exactly. They are still going to be looking into the hostess gate thing.

Hamilton will be gone before Dooley.

I believe that we are in better hands under Dooley, but that's just me.
