Lets face it some of the media outlets don't even come close to checking their sources. How many coaches have been announced in the past two days? Six?

These rumors are diving us all insane! People are talking about not being fans and getting bashed by others for nothing. Until we see a official press statement by the UT Staff don't say that someone has been hired.

I understand rumors flying on a sports forum but stating facts without checking your sources as a professional in the media is unprofessional and stupid.

I think part of the problem is that media makes it sound like everyone in the world has turned us down. I can't make heads or tails of this coaching search any way. I'm willing to bet we did get turned down by a coach or two, but I find it hard to believe all of these people are actually in the running. ESPN Radio is having a field day talking about how "Wow can you believe the coach of DUKE turned down Tennessee? Gee, that really tells us something!" All it tells me is that his name was mentioned not that we ever offered or that he was a serious contender.

Maybe it will be better for the team in the long run. Of coarse I subscribe to the idea of letting this recruiting class be handled by Kippy while we take our time in the coaching search.

Yes, but hammy said he wanted it by fri. And one would think we NEED a HC by tonight for the visitors tom morn. Unless you want them to see a "riot" if you don't make the right hire? What a circus its become.
