1999 - 2009
I've noticed since this is 2009 and we're approaching the end of the decade several all decade moments, players, teams, season of the decade and etc posted on other sites....
I would post a new thread but I can't.....
if somebody wants to start a new on this please do.
Volnation, who would be on the Tennessee all decade team by position?
What team is the best team of the decade as far as only Tennessee, not conference or nation?
What was the best moment of the decade?
Best single game of the decade as a team, and best single game performance by a player?
P.S. I appologize for getting off topic, please don't tar and feather me or banish me for life, thanks
GO VOLS!!!

Gotta go with Tee Martin at QB. National Championship does it for me. Though Ice Man was far better than we gave him credit for.

our decade was so crappy, most of this is easy:

Best team: 2001 Team (runner up: the 2006 team)
Best Moment: 2001, Beating Florida in the swamp (runner up: Beating Georgia at Georgia in 2004 when they were #2, slightly better than '05 beating LSU at LSU)
Best Game as a team: 2001 against Florida (runner up: 2006, stomping undefeated Georgia in athens).
Best Single Game as a player: 2001 Travis Stephens against Florida (runner up: 2006 Robert Meahem against Cal)

Wow...We had so many great defensive players. I didn't really look at 1999 because most of our All-Decade team would've only played 1 year out of the decade...but from 2000-2009 I left off guys like Raynoch Thompson, Jesse Mahelona, Justin Harrell, Turk McBride, Eric Westmoreland, Rashad Baker, Julian Battle, Kelley Washington, etc.
