| 2009 Redshirts This may have been posted over the last 2 months, but if so, I haven't seen it.
I'm curious as to who is in line to pick up a redshirt this year? I know Toney Williams is med RS due to knee injury and have heard that Askew is all but assured to enter next season as a RS Fr.
What about big Rogers,,,does he get a medical RS? Gordon? Oliver? Revis? Nelson?
Anyone have a clue?

No word on Rogers but i assume he gets a medical | I think LK said Askew would not RS b/c of the injuries they've had at LB. I may be wrong though. |

They say that is basically the only way they award a 6th season, except for certain circumstances. Because Austin was not RS due to a coach's decision (to bulk up, depth at position, etc.) he stands a better shot if he does indeed wish to come back. For example, Brad Cottam lost out on an extra season because he RS'd as a Frosh. because it was a coach's decision or Ben Mauk when he used his RS to transfer from Wake Forest to Cincy then was hurt and denied a 6th season because he used his RS to transfer. |

No word on Rogers but i assume he gets a medical | I didn't see him on the field, and I don't know how accurate they usually are, but Schofield is listed under the official stats as having played in the South Carolina game on UTSports.com. http://www.utsports.com/sports/m-foo...10/indgbg.html
Even credited with 2 tackles. |
