Not surprising. Fulmer didn't even like the orange pants. They only wore them 3 times in his tenure. |

| Black pants and jerseys would have been totally awesome! Hopefully, Lane K gets that done this season. |

No one is petitioning the school to adopt black as an official color. Plus, it doesn't matter how much you like them or dislike them, they're the player's jerseys and they're the ones who should decide. Player's and recruits loved them, and judging by the crowd's reaction I believe most the fans did as well. For a less than capacity crowd, thats one of the loudest entrances I've ever heard in Neyland. |

I understand tradition, but I was also in the bookstore and saw a lot of women's bball stuff with baby blue on it, men's bball shorts with black on them, and the team in black sweat suits, so I don't think it's that big of a deal to break out a black jersey for Halloween. Plus, the recruits seemed to like it as well. |

Umm....NO. |
Out of touch with youth these days? Players love blackouts. At any school of any size!!! Our players know that, students know that, recruits know that, and staff know that. Only the blue hairs don't. For a nighttime halloween home game its a great move.
Atleast we're not like oregon who has 80 different uniform combinations. Or look like ga against fla last weekend. |

Anything before that is completely unnecessary and not a true tradition.

| The easiest way to see grown men cry like babies is to wear a black jersey.
Ray Mears first coined the phrase Big Orange, John Ward used it announcing games.
We were the Volunteers before the coined phrase and we will be the Volunteers long after the crying stops.
The black was fine with me for halloween, I would love to see a new look uniform.
Traditions are created, someone stood up and decided to change things up, open your mind.
The Maxims
The Power T
Running thru the T
Vol Walk
All were created by someone stepping up and making a change. |

| I think everyone misses the key part. Tradition did not change. We won. That is Tennessee tradition. |

| Had the same seats 42 years; we're very traditional in our love for the Vols, but Saturday night was the most electric run through the "T" I've ever seen! So happy for the team, and BTW, they beat the crap out of SClite

That is what my old high school unis looked like. SPHS Pirates---the coach was a UT player from 1929, the late L.P. Beene--Tennessee Hall Of Famer. |
