It depends on how well I think we can recruit.

If I'm situated in a talent rich area, then I take Phil as he can recruit better than the other two.

If they have to be coached up, then I take Tuberville... but I wouldn't expect miracles.

I would consider hiring Tommy Bowden if the other two(along with most of the ex-IA coaches that are still alive) turned me down.

I'd vote Tuberville if I had to choose, but I really wouldn't want any of them.

i might take Fulmer if the contract had a "Must Resemble Teams from the 1990's" clause in it

Keep in mind the plane ride to Louisville a few years back when Auburn officials were interviewing Petrino behind his back. When that blew up in Auburn's face, Tubby had his contract renegotiated so that if another such incident occured, the contract was breached, and he could back out of because of their violating it.

Now fast forward to this past season, and apparently, Auburn had been interviewing Houston Nutt behind the scenes. Nutt I believe shares the same agent as Tuberville (Sexton I believe) and told Tuberville. Once Tubby found out, he "resigned". Meanwhile, Auburn still paid him his buyout, which seemed odd at the time. But Auburn officials tried to spin into something honorable and paying him for years of service or some other nonsense. But the truth is, Auburn knew they were caught with their hands in the cookie jar and had to pay up.
That could very well be the case, but I would wouldn't call it more reasonable, at all.

Cutcliffe was Majors' QB coach. After Fulmer became HC he chose to make Cutcliffe his OC

To be honest, of the three, Phil would be my fourth choice.

Tuberville is a great coach and did a great job of evaluating overlooked talent and/or coaching those players up. His teams played great defense and were very physical. Before he left, I thought that Tuberville was the third best coach in the conference.

Auburn made a huge mistake.

Tuberville also went .500 against Florida and 7-3 with Alabama.

This choice isn't even close. Tuberville would be my first choice followed by Terry Bowden because he at least showed the ability to adapt. My next choice of the three would be to leave the HC position vacant... I have watched that train wreck long enough.
