i don't necessarily agree with griff because i believe monte will work his ass off studying the heck out of our SEC opponents. It will take a lot of adjusting, but that adjustment has already been in the works since he was hired. | My logic has never been more sound.
Throwing the "age thing" in there was unnecessary and absurd. To think that an older person can't do his job because of his age is laughable. |

To infer that being older directly correlates to poor results in your chosen profession flies in the face of logic; however logic hasn't stopped you before. | Yeah I know right? I mean the man was only in the NFL for what seemed like forever and a day and became known as one of the best DCs in the game and he has been over 60 for how long? Let's hope he is like a fine wine and get's better with age and I think he will |

| The thing about it is this. Monte Kiffin isn't your normal 68 year old. I bet that man has more fire in his ass than the majority of people half his age. |

| Writer 32 (Mike), I usually do not attack you in fact I tend to take up for you esp with HAT(e) that chump who thinks that CBP sucks and he is MR. Basketball Insider, but your comments about CMK are any thing but ambiguous - " Monte Kiffin was on the tail end of his NFL career, and I don't necessarily think his genius will translate at the college level." The idea that I think you wanted to base your opinion on, excellence in professional coaching does not translate into excellence in college coaching, is completely lost to most readers due to the absurd point you made prior to it. Your opinion that coaching on these two levels is different is one thing. It does not hold much water when you look at Carroll, Saban, Rich Brooks, Spurrier etc… Coaches moving from college to the NFL tend to have a more difficult time than vise versa. By implying that this move will be all the more difficult because CMK is on the tail end of his career is simply asinine if not prejudice, and invites well deserved harsh criticism.
I am wondering aloud – To me there seems to be an undercurrent of resentment towards the new football staff particularly from the more opinionated writers/host in town. I wonder if it does not revolve around the fact that you guys have lost many insiders from the last regime and are have a difficult time gaining real access to the new one. Because you all are not being treated “fairly” or like you were previously your opinions tend to be biased towards negativity. Just a thought. |

| I can't wait for the season to start. Sorry Griff, I'm ignoring your threads and you until football season starts. Then maybe you'll find something positive to write about. Your obsession is growing old.

| There are quite a few examples of coaches losing their coaching acumen as they get up in age, i.e. Bobby Bowden, Joe Paterno, etc. I see the point.
MK was the best in the NFL, that's the most competitive football league. I'm not convinced that it won't translate to the college game though. It has in the past, Pete Carroll and Dennis Erickson are good examples.

Just wondering aloud. Any numbers on those page hits yet? |
