| We are on our way to the top. Ever since I was a kid , living in Kentucky, I found it suprising how hated we were. Not too many people hated Kentucky, Auburn, Georgia, Ole miss or Miss st. but it seems that anyone who was not a Tennessee fan despised the earth we walked on. This time period was when we had stong teams, competing for the National Championships. Sure there were some down years throughout but those were the days when you thought about the best teams in college football we were in the conversation.
The past few years we all know how things have been. Since winning the BCS in 1998 we have been floating along, not winning the SEC, Going to a bowl game most every year and finishing with a 8 win season. I have noticed the hate factor has declined big time. Some People still have hated us because we are Tennessee but The strong despise had tapered off for the biggest part.
Now that we have an Elite coaching staff in place, who are bringing in some of the Nations top recruits, people are starting to fear Tennessee once again. The hate is pouring in from News Writers, Espn, Rival Fans, and Rival Teams. All I read is about CLK hurting someones feelings or CLK with another secondairy violation, even though all these Media Outlets hate us, one thing that I have noticed is that Recruits are loving us. Kids every where are loving our Staff and Program. In interviews I have read about recruits they seem to love CLK, CEO, CMK or other coaches and always have great things to say about them. If all these kids love the staff so much then why does the media make them out to be monsters?
This year I can see us winning 8 possibly 9 games even with the questions we have at Qb and O/D line. We will be better in 2010 and if our coaches keep up the hard work and dedication that they have done recruiting in the past 6 months I think we will have the talant in place to compete for the BCS National Championship by 2011 or 2012.
To me it appears that we are on our way back to the top and being that hated, National Championship winning team that everyone loves to hate. |

| 1. Who hates UT football more? CBS or ESPN/ABC sports
2. What is the current difference between a SEC Championship and a BCS title?
3. Why didn't I make these poll questions?
1. I dont know the answer. CBS does seem to revel in our recent state
2. Give me an SEC Championship anytime, BCS title game is a joke, the teams have to take off for a month or two to play, might as well do a two out of three in that time span.
3. because polls are only good for women to dance on and they sure aint too many gals stripping to Rocky Top on VolNation at 3 a.m. p.m. me if you are a gal stripping to rocky top ; |

| The best coaches keep the spotlight off the team and assistants outside of game performance... a great coach said something similar, don't feel like looking up who right now.
I'm convinced he's either going to be a great coach or a disaster... But the way we've been recruiting and with the quality of our assistants I'm very optimistic. |

| I'll be convinced we have a "great coaching staff" after we win some ball games.

| I grew up with family ties in Bell Co. KY. Both sets of grandparents lived up there. However, my grandfather always rooted for the Vols. I grew up in Knoxville but spent quite a lot of time in Pineville, KY visiting. A lot of people there root for the Vols in football and the cats in b-ball. That's just the way it is being so close to the border. Both parents went to UK but we were raised as Vols. |

It sux to lose on many levels.
Start winning again, and ESPN will love us. It's a simple relationship. |
