James Banks to Carson Newman....

As a Carson-Newman alum I like to keep up with what's going on in Division 2 football...saw today that James Banks had joined CNC's football team. He'll be ineligible this year but should play next year. more info on the message boards at d2football.com

last i heard he wasnt going to carson newman, he was going somwhere in california i think and he doesnt have to sit out a year, he's playing this fall so he can come back to the sec next year, or at least that is what he's hoping for.

Maybe true, but I think you might be thinking of Brent Schaeffer.

Banks is going to Carson Newman. He was actually in the stands at the scrimmage on Saturday night.

Banks is enrolled and will practice with the team this fall, but will sit out the season.

I guess Banks didn't get into enough trouble around here so he figured he would stick close...But on a serious note, as talented and athletic as he is he will dominate D2 defenses. I wish him the best of luck and hope he gets back on track.
