Reportedly, Gruden loves the fact that he can compete for annual championships by simply taking advantage of the filthy in-state talent at Smyrna High School. |

| I don't believe Gruden will be our first choice. the rumors floating around are associated with his wife's ties to east tennessee. he may be on the long list, but not the short one. It's an ego thing for most NFL coaches and Gruden certainly fits that bill! If pro coaches do well, most will stay in the NFL and move around to a different team if they have issues with the front office. Its the ones who don't do well coaching or relating to well paid players with big egos, that end up back in the college ranks where they have more control over the players, i.e. Spurrier, Saben, Petrino, etc... My guess is Hamilton's first choice will be a coach from sucessful college program if there is one on the short list who is interested, otherwise it will be a coach from the NFL as a second choice. Keep in mind, and as funny as it may sound, some coaches will also do better in the pros than college. Look at Charile Weis, who was considered the second coming of Knute Rockne! Most will agree, he has one of the best coaching jobs in the college ranks and hasn't come close to living up to the hype. |

Of course there is that very real chance Wilks forms his own NFL team and plays every position en route to five straight Super Bowls before retiring to bring world peace to the world. |
