I heard that he was there probably in a box with his wife. That it was planned long before Fulmer was fired it was an alumni event his wife was attending.

If Gruden's name is in the mix, these Tennessee radio personalities sure don't want to admit as much. They make the fanbase sound like idiots.

Doug Mathews said this morning it just dosent make since for gruden to come to knoxville. He said its b/c hes an X and O kinda guy and would talk football 23 of 24 hours a day. He also said he would have a hard time adjusting his language on the sideline. These to me sound like stupid excuses. Im sure gruden has had a reporter point blank ask him if hes going to be the next coach or is interested. And im also sure his response was clever that avoided the question. Also if he is interested in the job and he has not publicly squashed these rumors, then if i was the guy paying gruden his salary in tampa id be getting on the phone right now with him and asking him why in the hell has he not shut down the rumors. just my 2 cents.

Funny, since Doug Matthews had a foul mouth on the sidelines.

I caught just the last few minutes of the radio show this AM and they mentioned a list of possibilities and Gruden was not mention, Butch Davis was on the top of the list.

I wonder if Grudens not interested in the job, why has he not just said so by now? This is even in the Buc's forums. You would think the TB big wigs would have him make a comment to put the rumor to rest. Just a thought. May just be wishful thinking.

Here's an idea.... If Tn can pay saban type money. i.e 4 million per year, and if 50,000 TN fans would agree to pledge $20 per year for 5 years.... We could offer Gruden $5 million per year. Count me in, I would give up $20 per year for the next 5 years to see Gruden roaming the sidelines in Knoxville.

Thumbs up

I think everybody on here wants a non-clapping coach. Even though I saw Saban doing it last night. Geeeezzz!
