About this Page -- This is a discussion on Your favorite Tennessee Alabama memory Page 2. within the forum Tennessee Vols Football. Here are a few that stand out to me.
1993 - David Palmer tying it at 17-17
1995 - Manning ...
Since its bammer week I thought we should share some of our favorite memories. My favorite would probably the 95 game when we started off the game right. I was only 6 and watching it on tv, but my parents had a lot of people over. I remember when Manning to Kent happened, the entire house went crazy. My parents said that was "when time stood still at our house" because when Tennessee scored our grandfather clock stopped ticking. My dad also talks about in 1982 when we beat the Bear. He said he will always remember after the game right before Bear went to the locker room he looked around the entire stadium and soaked it all in like he just knew it was the last time he would ever come back there. Maybe we all can have a new memory after saturday .
I said wow that guy is young when I saw how old you were when that happened then I remembered thats exactly how old I was lol
Mine is when Bobby Humphrey had 240+ yards on the sweeps we ran all day in 1986. I was on the hill for that one as I have been every year since 1984. ROLL TIDE
Unfortunately, I was at that game. 56-28. At least the vols scored all their TD's on my side of the field.
4th and 17 in the fifth over time, Clausen to Fayton for a first down. Then the next defensive possession Jason Allen knocks away a 4th down pass in the corner of the endzone to win it. That game was so up and down I about had 3 heart attacks.
In 1982 I was working at the UT Book & Supply Store.....after the game we were all standing on the little covered porch and watched the goal post come up stadium drive with wall to wall people.......Most amazing site I have ever seen........
95 was amazing. I knew from that first pass it was over. I also made enough money off the game to pay off my tuition and rent for the rest of the semester so we all had a great night (except for our E bookies)
