(2) "Frontier Justice": If you showed your ass, and got it beat, and the pub owner doesn't want to press charges...we will call a squad for you, and then write you an appearance citation for "Public Nuisance". There's no need for us to humiliate you; someone beat us to it.
(3) "Pig Pile": Assuming no one has put you in your place before we arrive, we will be more than happy to perform that function. Hopefully, you are still drunk, mad, and bulletproof when the first officer arrives. After a brief, demonstrative lesson on "why you don't fight cops", we will follow you to the hospital to get your stitches (and Taser probes removed), and then escort you to jail. We go home at 3:00 am. You'll be eating instant grits for breakfast. Next time, listen to your conscience, and not your alcohol-laced ego.
Be safe out there. And be smart.
go vols. | If you're talking about my daughters scenario, there were no police involved. It always amuses me that some "enforcers" believe that they are the solution to any situation and if you don't like it your ass is going to jail.

I know nothing about your daughter's "scenario". I wasn't there.
I was merely giving you, and VN, "our look at things". I tried to put a humorous tilt on it. If I missed the mark, I apologize.
Neither I, nor any cop worth his salt, view ourselves as the solution to any situation. Personally, I subscribe to the basic mantra of law enforcement: "Protect and Serve".
Not to preach, but we see a side of life that most of you will never see. I have been shot at, shot, and returned fire. I don't lose any sleep over it. It comes with the job, and I chose the job. I got what I asked for.
I made it a point to never get anything on my badge that Brasso wouldn't get off. So far, I'm good.
If you want, PM me with your daughter's "scenario", and I'll give you my take.

go vols. | I didn't really have a big problem. I've been around a long time and am in the "protection" business since I do security systems for a living. What I get tired of is a lot of "officers" have a holier than thou attitude that I have witnessed over the years. Your little lesson brought that to mind. Ironically, the daughter mentioned is an armed security guard and aspires to be a police officer. Oh yeah, you forgot to capitalize Vols again. |
