| Were not going to get Gruden, so stop talking about it every single day i see people saying "john gruden this, john gruden, that" but seriously? You guys really think that Gruden is going to come to UT (he was only here for two years so he's not even alumni) and leave a successful NFL team? If he really wants a boat load of money he could find some other greedy NFL owner but he is definetly not going to come back to the college ranks (where he even a head coach at). Why don't you guys set your eyes of somebody we actually have a shot at like Will Muschamp or Lane Kiffin and stop wasting your time day dreaming about Gruden. |

| i agree with you, but the money is going to have an impact on who we get.
If we pay Gruden $20 million per year, he's COMING to UT.
So my only point is this, the money does matter. We're not likely to get Gruden, but don't count anyone out until the deal is done. Because money matters. |

| gruden's current contract is 5yrs 17.5 mil. which is 3.5 a year which would make him the 6th highest paid coach in the NCAA |

| For what it's worth, my graduate degree is 36 hours...doesn't exactly take a lifetime. If you're a graduate assistant, you already have a 4 year degree. If he spent a year here, he's probably just 12 or so hours away. |

| Well money should not be what stops Tennessee from having a top notch staff. I live in Alabama where football is a 365 day a year way of life. Alabama was not afraid to "Bank" on a coach that could turn their team around; so why are we? I love Tennessee football, but it is hard to even hold your head high at work around Bama Grads, Ohio State Grads, Florida Grads, and some Georgia Grads with the way things are going.
