My list

4. Kevin Steele
5. Some other former Tennessee guy (but not Lovie Smith or Jon Gruden)

I hope we have a few more options than that, but who knows.

Ya, if you are going after Cowher you might as well go after Bill Parcells.

Cowher might be the next Detroit Lions coach.

I would love Cowher. Doesn't he have ties to Tennessee? I know this might be a stupid question but I was just curious.

I think about $8 million might get Cowher's attention.

Do people really think we can get Cowher?? I mean why not just say Bill Bellichek or Tony Dungy?? Cowher won his division 8 times appeared in two super bowls, winning one, and like four AFC championship games....if he ever comes back to coaching it will be in the NFL for 6-7 million a year not to coach in Knoxville. Can we try to pick realistic people?

I think most people are pushing Butch Davis and Muschamp...those I think are good picks for 1 and 2. Chris Peterson I think is a legitmate choice. Maybe...maybe Bronco Mendenhall but I'm far from sold on him. Definitely not Paul Johnson.

Why the heck does everyone always mention Paul Johnson? Do you think that offense would fly in the SEC?

If you do, you're on crack.

It wouldn't be a retired NFL coach who would laugh if we even tried to set up an interview, a mormon who hasn't proven he can recruit out of mormon lands (and he prob wouldn't leave anyway), a coach winning off of Dan Hawkins success, a coach who has an offense that scores tons of points against everyone until he plays a good defense (of which there are many in the SEC), and certainly not a coach who runs the option.
