That's not his point. Who is the better candidate for the job?

I told you who I wanted UT to go after.

Mendenhall would have been a better choice than Kiffin. So would Peterson.

Surely you don't believe Belichick couldn't win a NC at Notre Dame. They have the money and thats all it takes right? What about Oklahoma State? Boone Pickens can afford what ever.

My point is simple. What makes Kiffin such a grand candidate? His past accomplishments?

Young kids these days are not in awe of ND's tradition like we are. The longer they are away from the limelight, the harder it gets to recover. Kids look at Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, USC, et al, on tv these days. These are the programs that are grabbing the talent.

Set your aim low, and you hit low.

Mendenhall wasn't interested in leaving BYU, Peterson is an actual argument you can make.

Yes and his entourage and his crazy football IQ. All of those things. Speaking of entourage. As soon as his cast is announced we need to get a pic up with all of them in it. With a good title. So if Kiffin brings Monte what does that do for you?

Everyone keeps talkin about how poorly he did in Oakland, what about the 49 pts. a game he put up as OC at USC?? Thats pretty impressive, not to mention he is a great recruiter! We should do very well recruiting along the West Coast. IMO
