He may turn out to be a bad coach I don't know but, how many coaches in College aren't full of themselves |

they made their bed, now they have to lie in it. | Thats exactly what will go down unless the new AD decides to make a career decision. If there are no results early on next year the hunt for the next ND head coach will start.

| Oakland won it's last Super Bowl when I was one. I have no allegiance to Al Davis, as a matter of fact, I wish he would retire. Im a Raider fan, not an Al Davis fan. My point is you may have a hard time believing what Im saying, I did as well, but it is what it is. |

| my honest feeling is for Lane Kiffin, we wouldn't know much about what kind of person he is until he gets here and implements his type of change.
No one has survived in Oakland's stable for the last 5 years, and even then Al Davis was impossible to work for. He would talk down to the younger coaches, and controlled a team similar to the yankees before Torre became a coach and took the reigns. He would do what he was told to avoid his ultimate fate, he could not be truthful to reporters if his owner and GM were telling him to lie or else he is fired. It is a similar situation as if you are being blackmailed just to retain your job every week. I actually think this guy had some class, when a stupid beat reporter would blantantly ask him "Coach Kiffin, has Al Davis spoken to you about being fired or being replaced, because we have reports he has said this to numerous people"......if that was anyone on here posting you would tell that guy to tell Al Davis to shove inanimate objects up his candy azz.
All insults aside I look forward to see him "trying like heck" to turn this program in a new direction and to bring some respect back to have the word TENNESSEE on our schedule. |

| Im not saying he wasn't a good coach, he just didn't have enough time, or clout to be successful. No doubt about it he was turning the team in the right direction, but the way he acted was somewhat like how a teenage girl would act. Hopefully he has grown up since then, and turns this team around |

| I respect your intelligence to the situation, you're right it is a very bad situation, but he still bailed on his team. If he is hired as the coach, all is forgiven, but if he pulls this crap at TN, I will personally hunt his ass down |

| The difference in Saban, Spurrier, and Kiffin. I see people saying, "Saban and Spurrier didn't do well in the NFL either."
Big difference in those two and Kiffin. Saban and Spurrier had proven themselves before at the college level by winning National Championships.
Kiffin has proved two things. He can ride on Pete Carroll's coattails, and he sucks as an NFL HC.
I'm sure some of you whose panties get moist everytime Kiffin's name is mentioned, will now get those same panties in a wad. How dare me question the great Lane Kiffin? |
