| I'd say this team has a chance at getting to a BCS bowl, but with our schedule, I think going undefeated is a little bit of a stretch. However, if we can stay healthy, and other teams continue to lose key players, I guess you never know. |

| Until we're eliminated because of our actual win-loss record, we have a shot every year. This may not be our best team ever, but you never know who will catch a break when to win a game they maybe shouldn't have won, who gets injured, who doesn't live up to potential. I say let's approach the season lie we expect to compete for the national championship. You just never know. I don't think that anyone expected the '98 team to accomplish what the did either. | |

| Honestly, I think we have a better chance now than when we're ranked inside the top 5. Tennessee has a history of getting cocky and blowing it when the expectations are high. I'd rather there not be any monumental expectations and see kids with a lot of heart and something to prove go out there and kick some arse!

| i am a firm believer that defense wins championships. it appears that our defensive backfield is gonna be great and our lb corps look pretty good as well. if the dline can step up, we may have a shot. i think we will be able to score some points no matter what. if our defense comes to play week in and week out who knows? I will be happy to win the SEC tho. GO VOLS!!!

| the only way is if our defense plays as good as i think they should be. i think our secondary is great, we have good depth at LB, but our d line has to show up all year to make us the kind of defense that we can be. Also we should hav enough playmakers of offence to bust some big plays every once in a while. i say we have just as good of chance as we had coming into 1998. preseason expections are about the same for this team as they were for that one. | |
