Well, in 14 days we shall see.

What will the Clawson offense look like?
Will Crompton prove that his recruitment excitement was warranted?
Will Foster make a case for his status as a UT RB elite?
Who will distance themselves amongst our receivers?
Is Gerald Jones the playmaker that we think he is?
Will the OL turn weightroom strenghth into on-the-field brawn?
Will the DL have the depth for 4 quarters of pressure up front?
Will our linebackers step up and intimidate?
Will the defensive backfield be as good as advertised?
Will Colquitt's missteps cost us in the kicking game?
Will Lincoln be ready to hit some deep ones when we need them later in the year?

Again, we shall see.

that's what we need here on this site, some more positive people, instead of these "NEGATIVOS", HOHO!!

If you chronic criticizers on here pay attention to what this genius poster just posted, you will realize that our 2008 football team has NO WEAKNESSES........I'm surprised that alot of people cannot see this, it's soo friggin' obvious!@!!!!!

This is BY FAR the best team we've had since 2001, up and down the board........The whole season will come down to J. Cromp., and the defernsive line, is there any doubt that our linebackers will be anything other than HEADHUNTERS??

Cmon dogs, G. Williams is 6'4", weighs 245 lbs (at least), and runs a 4.55 forty, he is primed and ready to ANNIHILATE!!! HOHOH!!!! Elix Wilson is a TERMINATOR, Rico is a STUD, and NEVIN MCKENZIE is a human WRENCKING BALL!!! hohoh!!!!

I'd say depth on the DL is a weakness. Depth at TE is a weakness as well right now.

oh yeah, i forgot about depth!@!! ooopssss.....
well TE depth will only be a problem if Brandon Warren is not eligible, which is looking shaky right now.......since Cottam is still hurt, and POPE was not really a TE, we've got some problems there, u'r right.....

depth on the DL i really think will be abit better than we think, bc/ some other guys are steppin up, and we can slide robert ayers inside if we have to, ala Turk Mcbride, Victor Thomas, Andre Mathis, and Donald Langley will help out, for sure.......and get Ben Martin out there, finally!!! (and G. Williams at end too)

But I honestly think the whole season will come down to 2 things:

J. Crompton and the DL (tackes and ends)
if j. crompton is great, and the DL plays like the DL of old, then it's going to be almost impossible for anyone to beat us, they will have to play REDICULOUS, or they will get CRUSHED

finally someone that agrees with me about this upcoming season.. we have no weaknesses only question marks a te qb depth on the line... but so does a lot of teams.. this is the best team we have had for awile now..

Thanks, guys, for turning my excitement thread into a baseless Orange-slurping rant fit for a class of third-graders.

Oh, and many of the realistic posters around here are the Vol Navy, so we aren't too worried.
