It's a tie.

And I'm a WKU graduate, so I still have a dog in the hunt.

McCat,

I will pull for WKU if you will pull for UT. Until they meet in the championship game of course.

Going to the lyrics of a song is weak within this thread topic and my comments. Some on this board want to act as if Kentuckians are backwoods hilljacks. Coming from our bordering state, I find that funny. Whooooo!
You were the first to ridicule lyrics.

My emphasis was on the way you guys yell "whoooo" like a bunch of moonshine drinkers when you play your fight song. This on the heels of many jabs at the backwoods Kentucky people. I found it funny to be coming from people with very similar backgrounds.

When in doubt, break out a race card.

I know a high school coach who's met him, as well as Tubby, through the recruiting process. He said Tubby's much more personable and Rick's more business like. I just think when it comes to coaching, Pitino beats Tubby all day long. Who I'd have over for dinner.....probably Tubby.

I don't like the "whoooo" thing, myself. That really just got going in recent years. But at least they quit doing that "Sic 'em Smokey" thing at Neyland Stadium - now that was truly goofy.

And "Rocky Top" isn't really even the fight song, though it's all but taken over recently (something else I don't like, just like the way the color black is gradually usurping the good old orange and white). The real fight song is "Down The Field."
