| There's a road that is a straight shot from I-85 directly into Athens. I can't remember the name, but there's an exit off of 85 near Atlanta that will take you directly to UGA. |

| 75 to 285 to 85, then either off at 316 or on to 129 or 441. 316 is the most direct route, and I imagine tolerable for a basketball game. It can be a NIGHTMARE in football game traffic.
Like Auburn, Athens is stuck in the middle of nowhere without an adjacent interstate. Like I said, you'll probably be fine on 316 with the smaller crowd.

Like Auburn, Athens is stuck in the middle of nowhere without an adjacent interstate. Like I said, you'll probably be fine on 316 with the smaller crowd. | This is good advice. Given that the game is on a Saturday, traffic on 316 shouldn't be a problem. To clarify:
I-75 South to
I-285 East to
I-85 North to
Hwy 316 to Athens. |

The cross country route takes forever. |
