Saturday it was 4 or 5 students, 2 of which were girls who just yelled the same stuff as the guys they were there with. Even worse than yelling "shoot" whenever Lofton got the ball was the stuff they would yell at the referee when it wasn't even a bad call. I admit the officiating wasn't very good and I got riled up a couple times, but even on close calls that ended up being good calls they acted like the ref raped their mother. It was embarrassing at times to be around them, but believe me it wasn't all or even many of the students and give us a little more credit by not putting all of the students in this category.

Going to ANY sporting even doesn't require a "______ IQ." Who gives a damn if they don't really understand the game? If they want to cheer and have a good time, then great! Not you, Smokey, but a lot of guys seem to think that you've gotta know the sport before you can go watch it. Some of the guys on the link posted were just straight dumb. Sure, some people go to the games for the social aspect, but last I checked we weren't cutting many off at the door, so more power to them. Noise is noise. |

| | Senior Member | Yelling for Lofton to chuck a 50 footer with 2 people on him is asinine. No wonder the guy has a mental thing going on.
Do you start the wave on offense at Neyland? |

"We've got to let him shoot out of his slump."
Therefore, why not tell him to shoot it every time. You know, because surely WINNING isn't as important as having Lofton on the floor...... |

Instead of letting the rest of the team blow a 20 point lead against vandy with really poor shot selection, we may as well have let Lofton shoot a few. |
