| just got back from the game... the Wiscy fans we talked to weren't whining about the hits at all. They were applauding Donovan's toughness and I must say, he's a pretty tough kid |

| UT was lucky there, but the play before that they got lucky, that was not a first down, the wr was no where near the yellow line, and somehow they got a 1st down. UT also had a bad call when they knocked a ball out in the 1st half and they called it an incomplete pass, it was clear that he caught the ball and it was knocked out.
The EB hit should have been called, I though it was bad play, because it looked intentional, but he is young.
So UT got away with a couple, but they did also. Usually the game evens out, the refs it seems try to make it. |

The QB went head first and EB in the air (turning to his shoulder) hit the runner, who wasn't yet down, IMO. If he had speared him with his helmet to the head, that might be another story, but he was turning to give him his shoulder. It doesn't matter that the runner happened to be the QB. |

I need to stop reading over there Iam getting highly upset but I just wanted to see what they were saying. | not really surprised. i told my dad in the 1st half that if ut ended up winning, wisconsin fans will start talking about this kind of stuff.

There are a few other Vols in town. I've been doing consulting work most of the past three years for a guy who played BB for Ray Mears. I've also run into a couple who were varsity cross country runners in the early 90s.

Kind of like a "Brave" Boxer is one that will lead combinations with his chin. Donovan was tough, but set himself up to take alot of shots he didn't need to take.
