2008 Preseason Rankings

What should be the Top 10 and where should Tennessee be ranked in The Top 25?

1.Florida
2.Ohio State
3.Oklahoma
4.Georgia
5.LSU
6.Texas
7.Virginia Tech
8.Illinois
9.Kansas
10.USC

I think Tennessee should fairly start the season at #14

13-16 for UT

I think KU comes back to life next year and I would move USC up a bit

Kansas should not be in the preseason top 10 next year. Neither should Illinois.

The only way Florida is the preseason number one is if the voting panel consists of residents of Gainesville and insane people.

Kansas will lose a minimum of 4 games next season.

Tennessee will be penalized by voters for having an unknown quantity starting at QB.

Football

The way they're looking today playing Michigan they won't be the #1 in the preseason poll.

I'm now a Ron Zook, Rashard Mendenhall, and Juice Williams believer. It wouldn't shock me for them to sneak up and win the Big 10 next season.

They're a good football team. I just don't see them as a legit top 10 team yet.

Well, actually let me backtrack a bit. Ron Zook is an incredible recruiter, and in the Big 10 if you can get the players, then you can contend. OSU should be tough, but hey anything can happen.

Kansas is #8 right now and they return 19 of 22 starters on offense and defense.

Losses:
WR Marcus Henry
TE Derek Fine
OT Cesar Rodriguez

Replacements:
WR Marcus Hereford
TE Kerry Meier
OT Nathan D'Cunha 4* Prospect

Heisman Finalist @ QB definetly helps them.

If Illinois returns Mendenhall and others and with their solid recruiting classes Zook is bringing in,theres no reason why they shouldnt be at #8.

The team that may surprise everyone could be BYU,they'll probably be right around where we're ranked and they could dominate the Mountain West this year and sneak into the BCS Championship Game as an unbeaten.I believe they are returning all of their starters from this year and are bringing back guys from Mormon missions as well.
