Offensive Leadership courtesy Erik "Freakin" Ainge, Arian "Freakin" Foster

Lately, VolNation has been talking a lot about our young talent... and they are simply AWESOME.

However, this season's championship rests on the shoulders of some of the upper classman who are proving themselves as more than capable leaders for the 2007 Vols.

Yesterday's stats:

Whoever has been supporting these guys here throughout the year were proven yesterday. Foster was an incredible workhorse for the Vols offense.

E. Ainge 28/45 397 yards 8.8 yard/pass 7 TD 3 INT
A. Foster 27 rushes for 118 yards 4.4 YPC
A. Foster 9 passes for 98 yards 10.9 YPC

These guys are bringing back the Tennessee offense that we've all grown to love.

To win this championship, we'll need this guys to keep stepping it up!

Anyone want to show some love for these and other upperclassmen? They're turning the 2007 sesaon around... in a big way.

Go Vols! Beat LSU!
Become the 2007 SEC Champions!

Both Ainge and AF have been key to our season this year.

Congrats to both.

I don't want this to come across as negative, but it's easy to pad your stats when you get 4 extra offensive drives at the end of regulation.

That said, I thought Ainge was very efficient in the first half of the game...he and the receivers (Rogers and Taylor)seemed to unravel as the second half progressed. In overtime, however, the wr corps made a number of big plays when they needed to be made.

As for Foster, he was fantastic throughout the entire game.

The entire team dug deep, in a hostile environment, and their backs against the wall, to make every play they needed to make to get the win. I'm proud of that football team. They escaped defeat on more than one occasion in that ball game, and showed the resilience and poise of a championship football team.

i liked the fact that Foster ran with some attitude yesterday.....he's never going to be the fastest guy out there, but he was throwing some good stiff arms and lowering the boom on some folks yesterday.

he ran with purpose. i didn't see the tip toeing to the LOS yesterday......that i've seen in the past.

good game indeed....and thow G. Jones in there as well. he had several key plays.

Gerald was very good yesterday...he was physical in the running game, and came up with a huge touchdown catch.

Quinton Hancock had his best game as a Vol as well.

Great stiff arms, indeed! He even went beyond the traditional stiff arm on one play and forearmed some poor KY DB flat on his back. That was one of the best forearms I've even seen an HB carrying the ball deliver!

Great game, Arian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
