The roads were a problem because the numbers are made from a material that shines in sunlight, but especially under lights. So Adidas has always made the orange numbers on the roads a shade darker, so they appear correct on the field.
Well Dooley didn't like them, thought they were too dark. So on the second set, they had perfect colormatched numbers. Problem with that was, when they were put under the lights, they looked almost yellow, exactly why Adidas had always made them a little darker.
How and if they address that problem will be interesting. There will always be slight differences in colors because of materials and the way they reflect light. It happens at every school. |

| Could wear the early to mid 90's style of jersey where there was an orange and white outline around the numbers. |

Someone asked about materials, and that's a change that may be out there, as we wore different templates for home and away last year. I'm honestly not sure if we're staying with the Techfits or going to the newer template that we wore on the road last year after sending back the initial run if Techfits. |

However, I thought we looked the best in the uniforms we wore against Alabama with the new template. Real clean look. |

The template is the base jersey design, before the colors, numbers, fonts, all anything extra is added.
The Techfit unis are very form fitting, and are made up of less actual separate pieces of material, like 3 or 4 pieces of fabric total I think. It results in a more "skin-like" look.
The away jerseys we wore starting with the Alabama game were a different template in that they were not Techfit, but a more traditional template like we've seen in years past. A lot more pieces of fabric were stitched together to make subtle designs within the white jersey. For example look between Bray's chin and his arm.
There are lines there that are not on the Techfit Jerseys. A different template was used.

| | Senior Member | Also, the Techfit template has that upside down trapezoid at the bottom of the collar to place an oversized power T in. The away jerseys have the simpler, smaller T on the collar. |

UCLA wore a variation of it with Techfit-like materials, but not the same super-stretchy fabric exactly. Not sure what we'll end up with next year yet. |
