| Peterson has an offensive mind that can stand up to Urban's. |

| LG....good posts....two things.
1 FL's defense, shows the talent differential in TN and FL. while they weren't over powering they got EA to hurry a few times early that made a difference.
2. Special teams again for the 2nd time in 3 years played a sig. role in how this game played out.
congrats. you guys outplayed us and it definitely can't be ignored at this point. you guys are good.

Was just reading a recap of the game tonight. Tebow, Harvin, and Brandon James (the kick retruner we discussed last week who was supposed to be out for that but did return kicks) had between them 600 all purpose yards. That's all the bragging I'm going to do on them right now and I'll save most for later. But damn. |

| Chris Peterson, Gary Patterson, or Charlie Strong seem like the most possible. I don't think Chucky leaves the NFL even if he is fired. Cowher won't leave NFL analyst job unless he is offered another HC position in the league. If either of the first too come here, I think Troop should stay and help recruit. |

It's a tough pill to swallow for the fans but I'm sure this isn't the way Fulmer wanted to go out. I think he had visions of turning things around with the opportunity to leave on top. It's very unfortunate for everyone but I think things will only continue to get worse until a change is made. |

Tennessee as a program is rudderless right now. Berry was a high spot and you need about 12 more of him. Ainge showed flashes of great command, but he could never really sustain anything. Function of his finger injury, good defense, or whatever, it doesn't matter. Just could not move the ball in those little chunks and keep it going.
I think you need to separate the short-term from the long. Long-term, you are just buried coaching-wise and talent-wise. You need to make a change if you want to compete in the SEC. Pure and simple. That is going to get debated by a lot of folks, you know what I think, let's move on.
Short-term, you don't have a consistent receiver and, IMO, you abandoned the running game too early. I saw very few efforts at any draw plays (the one backfired huge with the fumble). You couldn't seem to make big plays back to back. Believe it or not, if I were coach, I'd do what a lot of you would criticize, and that is to run the ball forever from here on out for 2007.
Defensively, you knew it would be a struggle and it was. I am confident that your defense got gassed and of course that is a function of not keeping the ball on offense. If the offense runs the ball effectively and eats up clock, the defense rests.
I'm still a huge fan of the board and, although I am of course very excited about my team, I take no pleasure in watching you guys be so unhappy. I've been there as a Gator and, believe me, when you pull the trigger and the change gets made, there will be a lot to look forward to. | i had my days rubbing it in the earholes of my gator friends here when yall were going through your sucked up zook years. until the fans do something about it, it will not be changed and everyone will still expect a new result with no changes = insanity. the volnation is better than this and we have to press hamilton and the boosters. no on ewants to hear your content this soon, it probably would have been better to share it later. the most effective means of communication, if you want everyone to really absorb what you have to say, is timing. bad timing for your information and most people who read it will deny it and hate you more. |

But damn. | i'll be quite honest with you. after the punt return, i pretty much thought that was the end of the game. then the INT in the red zone kind of sealed it for me.
we're simply not that good. and i stipulate as sick as i am with the status quo on the coaching staff, the talent shown on FL's "inexperienced" D was impressive. we couldn't run the ball, and about 3 minutes in to the game, it didn't matter, because the run game was taken out of the equation anyway.
so LG, as i will say to some of my other FL friends, congrats. it seems you are on a repeat course of FL's dominance of the East as in the 90's. and this time, it's pretty evident where the issue is. just pathetic on our part.

LOL, I wouldn't worry about that too much. At least not until we see what happens in Baton Rouge in a little bit, right? |

Hey, its just math. You need to make up two in the loss column. Florida's visit to LSU may well be one of them. |
