Just pointing out that we've lost much more valuable pieces of the puzzle than Coker before and still had success.

I agree with that. However, I don't see Carl Pickens, Alvin Harper, Dale Carter, Peerless Price, Al Wilson, or Raynoch Thompson on this roster.

Do you see anyone on the roster that might come close to one of the above?

Wait, so is the drug stuff for real? Or is that just speculation?

Maybe . . . maybe not. In 1990, Carl Pickens was a promising sophmore and Dale Carter was a JUCO transfer. They were like a lot of guys on this year's team - full of potential and not much else.

No, but we could still have a pretty good season regardless. The SEC East is up for grabs this year with so many question marks. At any rate, Coker probably would have end up being third on the depth chart come September 1st. Foster and Hardesty are more than capable to carry the load.

This really sucks. I was looking for Coker to have a big year. It looks like Hardesty will get a shot in the backfield with Foster now.

Anyone who didn't know Carl Pickens was going to be a star after the 1989 season needs to take up watching soap operas and cooking shows instead of football. It took all of one game to see how good Carter was.

I definitely don't see Coker playing in the Cal game. But then again, stranger things have happened. If his actions are associated with what's been hinted at though, he could be gone for not just the Cal game, but a good while after that.
