good point. For all of us who have been watching the basketball team through the bad years, it's even more sweet to anticipate some winning seasons ahead. Even though we all think in the back of our minds, "it's TN -- they'll find a way to lose" -- just like in the Ohio State game. No other team on earth would have lost that game, but TN always finds a way.

I tell you though, I read the Slay article in the Tennessean and the team he played on as a freshman may very well have been the most talented team in Tennessee history

[Roy Williams is yet another coach who doesn't want to hear about lottery projections anymore. He was told that freshman Brandan Wright was going to go in the three-to-five range. And once he heard that, he was OK with Wright leaving. But a few days before the draft, Wright was said to be falling possibly to double digits. Had that happened, Williams wasn't going to advise any player, save someone who was a lock for No. 1, to go to the NBA early.

Kudos to Roy Williams for pointing out the sham that league draft projections are for underclassmen.

Good article. -Hopefully our team can handle actually having expectations this year. The past two years there wasn't alot expected from Pearl's teams, and they greatly over-acheived. This year, however, we will be expected to win the SEC. We should definitely have the talent to do it. You just never know about chemistry, though. Not meaning to sound at all negative - I can't wait for basketball season, and I fully expect us to be mentioned all year with the best teams in the nation. GO VOLS!!
