Give him a baseball scholly with an option to play football.

we can't give him a baseball scholarship and let him play fWotball. Alabama used to do this to get more football players when they ran out of football scholarships. If he walks on he can play both sports or if he got a football scholarship, he could play both sports.

I found out the other day baseball scholarships are not full ride's like football ones are. Anyway I hope he can develop into a great QB .

That was either a perfect throw or either into triple coverage

Dobbs has good deep ball accuracy, his accuracy was the least consistent in the intermediate passing range. Short and deep passes were consistently on target.

We did it also....track and field, baseball. That's how it worked back in the good ole days....

I don't remember if Todd remained on a football scholarship after he decided to only play baseball. They may have kept him on football just in case he was needed and the football was a full scholarship.

Todd played both football and baseball for 3 years at UT. He missed much of his junior year in football due to a knee injury, but he never went "baseball only" at UT.

And the NCAA mandates that if a dual sports scholarship athlete plays football, then the scholarship has to count against the football scholarship number.

It never came to that. He signed after being drafted that season.

You're right, but just for clarity's sake, the NCAA rule is that a multi-sport athlete must count against the scholarship numbers of the sport whose competition season begins first on the NCAA calendar.

Obviously, football starts before most other sports so it's a moot point for football two-sport athletes. But if an athlete plays basketball and track, he or she would have to be on a basketball scholarship. But if that athlete participated in any cross country events in the fall, they would have to be on a track scholarship.

Here's where it gets interesting. The NCAA just approved sand volleyball a couple of years ago as a spring sport, but only assigned it four scholarships. Why, with Title IX would a new women's sport only have four scholarships? Because if an athlete signs a sand volleyball scholarship, she can't play indoor volleyball in the fall. The majority of the athletes in sand volleyball are indoor players that have technically become two-sport athletes, but those that sign sand scholarships are ineligible in the fall.

Even though a walk on, CJP coached him all the way to the sideline after his series. Tells me he's honestly looking for players who will contribute no matter their hype. Some may remember Dale Jones fewer still Benny Dalton.
