As far as cornerback and the oline are concerned.

0 is no concern at all. CJP has got it handled.
10 is I’m on the Henley Street bridge ready to jump.

I'd say a 9, since from all accounts, we are pretty much where we were last year, without John Kelly.

It's kind of hard to "freak out" when you are coming off of an 8-loss season. Expectations are very, very low.

I see no need to freak out, this is year one for Pruitt trying to undone what jones did for 5 years. I'm hoping for 6-7 wins and anything else is gravy.

I don't think the pitchforks come out this year unless they lose to one of the three cupcakes or get to the last two games with a legendary SEC losing streak (legendary for UT, that is).

Why do we do this to ourselves ? I get it ,off Season worry , what if’s , no qb, wrs can’t catch the ball , no running game or we have a good rbs but we aren’t seeing them run in spring practice so there must be something wrong , we suck blah blah blah . We have a new coach and staff even by negavols standards they are big upgrades from the last one , the coaches are gathering film and info on every single player we have so when they actually start to practice they will know who works better where . I don’t do prediction on wins vs loses but I do pridict our in game coaching and effort from the players are going to be much much better this year and in years to come .

I am not freaking out because I realize this year is going to be rough again but we are headed in the right direction.

I was only referring to those two positions.
No, we won’t win a lot of games.
But, some reports say we are going to be one of the worst teams in the country, not just the SEC, at those positions.

I’m not there.
Especially if we get Smith and Hall back.
As for CB, I’m glad that CJP is a specialist at coaching this position. He will scour the country to find a transfer or a preferred walkon, if necessary.

hard to freak out when it's not really a surprise. my freak out meter is on zero but none of what we've heard about the CB's and Oline is all that surprising.

in fact, i might actually lean toward being a little more optimistic about it if we can get healthy up front, and a couple of the new guys, and the guys coming in this summer, can become meaningful contributors.

but even if that does happen, we're still thin, and it won't mean we're good by any stretch. it just has the potential to not be as bad as we think....and the biggest "if" is health. that also improves our chances.

bottom line, we need a lot to happen developmentally, and need to get a little lucky on the health front.

Yeah, we are probably gonna be near the worst in the country at those two positions

I feel less insecure and pessimistic in Pruitt's first year than I did in Butch's 5th year.

Seriously.... There's only one way we could go at this point. O-line play has been hot garbage for years and I don't think I've seen a Corner effectively play the ball in the air since the Bush Administration.

It's Volnation! Never too early to panic.

Just like the WIMZ announcer used to say back in the 80's....Crank it up and rip the knob off!

I'm going to try to be objective; however, I do believe that the change in coaching alone will clearly result in notable improvements over last year. I'm not ruling out 6 wins but time will tell. First time head coach, a new staff starting out in a hole along with a very tough schedule isn't an easy hand to play.

The only people who will freak out are the ones who have unreasonable expectations for this team and potentially live in an alternate reality.

If this team goes better than 5-7 its a miracle.

No o-line. No proven RB's. Garbage QB's..its going to be a rough one.

This is the first year in a very long time where I’m not concerned and it has nothing to do with the talent or skill level. It’s because after the past decade I’ve become numb to expecting we will finally do something only to underachieve. So from here on out I will temper my expectations and whatever happens, happens. I actually have felt healthier this offseason due to not worrying as much about it and having less stress. And it also helps that the basketball team had a great season.

If you ever feel like freaking out about a football team, even God's Chosen Team, the Tennessee Volunteers ... or about a favorite musician, actor, or anything else in the wide world of entertainment, it's time to run through the Two Steps:

1. Context: there are far more important things to freak out about in life. Family, health, relationships, understanding, financial hardship, destructive or harmful habits that need breaking, paths to goals, goals not met, reassessing, ........

2. Release: slough off any mistaken sense of control or responsibility: not our job to ensure the team is ready, can leave that to the professionals, CJP and his crew, our only responsibility is to love the program, love the players and the university and the team, and wish them the best. We got that covered.

With our beloved Vols kept in proper context within our lives, and the weight of any responsibility beyond fandom removed from our shoulders, this is an easy question to answer.

0.

No concern at all, CJP and crew are working it, they're gonna do their best. Our job is to stay positive, stay supportive. Keep Calm and Carry On (thank you, Brits).

Go Vols!

Nowhere to go but up. Coming off of a ZERO SEC win season for the first time ever... I think the time to freak out has come and gone.

Tuberville said it will take "a while" for UT to be relevant again and that's IF coach Gump is the right guy.

The Winter of UT football has just begun. Thanks to our incompetent "leadership" and tight wad boosters.

If college football causes you to have a full meltdown freak out moment you should immediately re evaluate what’s important in life.

yes, common sense and patience will be needed from
the fans, boosters, etc. 5 years ago it was brick by brick
now . . . ..reconstruction:)
