Now that we know a crane isn't needed, it would be a great idea to rotate the two out. Different players from the past.

The ones that come down could be hung around the outside of the stadium.

But, I think that UT has decided they want to rotate the players.
So, they had already decided to remove Reggie.

Perhaps this is more of a widening of recognition for great Vols of the past? Reggie White, who is no doubt an all-time great, is not without recognition already with his name in big letters inside the stadium along with the names of other great players whose jersey numbers have been retired.
