He seems to be worried about Philip Fulmer, but why? They are on the west coast. :thud::lolabove::eek:lol:

Its called a "deflection move." Get people talking about something else and they often don't notice your mistakes. He hired a coach (Herm Edwards) that hasn't done anything in the college game for 40 years and catching some flack for it.

Part of the splash back from the power struggle. Fulmer represents the old guard, football coaches with old style boosters backing him.

Arizona AD, former sports agent, represents the new wave, non-football business men ADs with new money backers that didn't have a long term football background.

Another Currie fan, like the AD of Florida.

I didn’t think about 40 years, but yea, you’re right.

That’s my understanding as well - he’s supposedly getting some backlash for the hire. That and the fact he & Herm are pals...

Guarantee you he’s buds with Currie and/or is for some reason willing to act as though he’s lending unbiased weight to the opinions of national writers Forde, Thamel, and Wolken. I smell a rat. And how classless is it for a sitting AD to make this comment? What a tool.

Btw, who we got here? A Hall of Fame SEC head coach or an AD nobody’s ever heard of who just hired his former client and washed up former NFL head coach as the leader of his football program. Lol.

Yep. The kind of educated non football businessmen who have no common sense filters and hire guys like Schiano and Edeards, all the while collecting a check for as long as they can until mediocrity does them in and they get moved out.
