Latroy Lewis first game to play this year after being called up from the practice squad and he gets a SACK!!! Hats off to the young man. He was always disruptive in the backfield when he played here.

Did not play at all til his Sr year

In order to be successful in CBJ’s system you have to be taught certain skills like: not being able to create pressure on the qb, how to not get off a block during running plays, and most importantly the ever present 10 yard cushion on pass plays. These important skills can take years to develop

Witch Doctor say heres a thought, Butch is gone, let him be, Witch Doctor say lets look ahead and never speak the name of BJ again. From this point forward he is known as Dooley 2.

Was a solid contributor his last two seasons (2015-16). I recall him being opposite Barnett quite a bit. 29 tackles in 2015, 36 in 2016. Very solid contributions.

LaTroy Lewis - Wikipedia

Lewis redshirted in the 2012 season, his lone season with head coach Derek Dooley.[4]
Lewis started the 2013 season with a new head coach, Butch Jones, after Dooley was fired the previous year. He made his collegiate debut in the season opener at home against Austin Peay at Neyland Stadium.[5] In his first season as a contributor to the Vols, Lewis recorded four total tackles.[6]
As a redshirt sophomore in 2014, Lewis started the season with a solid performance at home against Utah State. Against the Aggies, he recorded his first career sack.[7] Against the Chattanooga Mocs on October 11, he had a season-high three total tackles in the home victory.[8] Overall, he had eight total tackles, of which five were for loss, one sack, one pass defensed, and one forced fumble.[9]
In his redshirt junior season in 2015, Lewis was a solid contributor. On October 10, he had a season-high five total tackles in Tennessee's upset victory at home over the ranked Georgia Bulldogs.[10] Against Vanderbilt at home, Lewis recorded his first and only sack of the season. Overall, in the 2015 season, Lewis had 29 total tackles, of which two were for loss, one sack, one pass defensed, and one forced fumble.[11]
In his redshirt senior season with the Volunteers in 2016, Lewis put together a solid season on a defensive unit that was plagued with injuries. Overall, in the 2016 season, he recorded 36 total tackles, of which four were for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery.[12]

Jones barely played him.. Brillant

Let's be fair--he played a lot more than "barely"

And who did you want to sit--Barnett or Vereen? Obviously not Barnett and Vereen was quite productive--he and Lewis were a good rotation.

But don't let facts get in the way.
