He is a huge project at the NFL level. So is Jamarcus Russell. That's not really an insult. About 13 months ago I predicted him to be a first round pick. He needs better coaching. He might end up being really good.

The game I really recall him underperforming was at Arkansas. I think he was at least adequate in other games.

I dont think he is a bad coach at all, but I'm not ready to crown him yet. And bammer should be better this year. They would have been better if Shula had stayed.

In the UT game last year Darby averaged 1.8yds/carry...Jimmy Johns was averaging 12.3 until Shula sat him on the bench and played his favorite, Darby. We've got 4 RB's now better than Darby. Defense is where we'll be in trouble...DL and LB are thin and inexperienced.

In other words, the team would have had a better record 07 over 06 under Shula.

Good point....Cut has made dramatic improvements in QB play and the offense in general. A lot hinges on how well your young WR's perform...and the young DB's as well.

I think CMS would have had a better year...maybe a 7 or 8 win season, which is about what I'm expecting under CNS's first year...with new schemes and staff.
