Until fans picket campus and make a big deal this program will be handcuffed by the Haslams!! They are the issue.

Sure, they have too much say in what happens, but until the fan base bands together to economically make a statement, or a coalition of boosters make a statement, nothing will change.

I personally stopped donating during Jones' second season

It will take all of us putting aside our differences for the common good of the program. We need to clean house over there.

Everything points to Haslam being ran out of town. Who has the stones to start the movement. If 100 people showed up today it would go viral and he'd be gone by the end of the week!

It needs to be done somehow. It's down to damage control now. Recruits are gonna feel as though they've been lied to. All this falls on the AD whom a lot of us feel is Haslam's yes man. Only way to fight back is to boycott Pilot and Neyland. We have no other legal choice. That's a good start.

This is so laughable.

The only real way to get rid of the booster Haslam, Jimmy or Jim?, is to disassociate with him, this basically black listing him from any university event that involves boosters and what not.

It's done when boosters are found to have committed NCAA infractions. Now idk how that would work in this case, but it's very clear that Haslam has harmed the university in a large way with this power play.

As far as Bill goes, he'll be out in due time, and no one in their right mind would try and appoint him President of UT or you will see another protest from fans and students and possibly faculty.

It can be done, but it would be hard to do I think.

Haslams own UT. Get used to it.

What the other boosters need to do is get together en masse and force the Haslams to listen. No more bought ADs, no more fake coaching searches, etc. These guys not named Haslam that are putting big money into UT have got to be livid. If they coordinate their efforts, I'm sure the Haslams will listen. If not, the money from other big boosters will fade and it will be more of the same - only Haslam will have even more control. No one wants that, but I'd guess that's what it's come down to.

Until other boosters can displace the Haslams they are where they are in the UT pecking order. They have given tens of millions to the University and the AD. To say they "must go" is at best naive. They aren't going anywhere.

We literally just saw thousands of fans kill an all but a done deal on a head coach, do you honestly think that if that same kind of outrage was directed at the university until the haslams are gone that it wouldn't happen?

I know you don't want to hear this but Clay Travis and others are backing the fans and if the fans want to get this done, it'll happen rather the Haslams like it or not

It's all a matter of getting the fans to direct their rage at the right people and Clay Travis is leading the charge, he's just the kind of helicopter guy who would to be known as the guy to take down the Haslam Mafia

Are we though? Are the Haslam's paying the athletics department budget?

Sure they're good if you need a building possibly but as far as the money running the AD they have very little control over fans and where they spend their money and what they spend their money on.

Without the Sandusky ties, Schiano gets hired. That's the truth. Yes it would've been an ugly welcoming, but the whole reason Schiano got rejected outright is because of the Sandusky ties. UT fans would've been pissed but there would've been nothing we could do about it. See Derek freaking Dooley...

Hate to bust your bubble, but the fans alone did not do this. This was orchestrated by big boosters (not named Haslam) who have powerful friends..

I hate to see fans get all the blame for this. The fans also should not take all the credit either...

Really?

They brought us

1) Firing Philip Fulmer
2) Hiring Lane Kiffin with no significant buyout for leaving
3) Hiring Derek Dooley with a ridiculous buyout for firing him
4) Hiring Butch Jones with a ridiculous buyout
5) Attempted hire of Greg Schiano the only head coach candidate in the country with ties to Jerry Sandusky child rape scandal
