One week hes scaring Bama, the next week hes getting his ass handed to him by a under-manned, interim coach led, arch rival with a losing record AT HOME.
Yup. And those one games add up to... A losing SEC record.
This game isn't going to change anyone's opinion. No one thinks Mullen is a great coach. They just don't think we are a great football program any more.
What disappoints me is that when they lost their starting quarterback the only backup plan they had was a walk on freshman that made their team one-dimensional. Coach Jones allowed that to happen twice to force the Redshirt to be pulled off of Joshua Dobbs and again this year pulling the red shirt off of will McBride. Sound coaching dictates that you shouldn't have a team that relies so heavily on one player that even though you're clearly more talented than the other team that you would lose if you lost that player. I have seen a lot of the same mistakes that Coach Jones made in coach Mullen tonight and I would be worried that he would make the same mistakes if he came to Tennessee.
